Air
Ether element
Mijdrecht, January 5, 2012.

Dear Fellow Pilgrim on the Sufi path,

Please read this carefully: the ‘Mystical experience’ of the Element Ritual during the next Summer school will be Saturday July 14, 2012, 7.30 p.m. in the Universel ‘Murad Hassil’, Katwijk.
The Five Elements afternoon in the ‘Asharama’, Naarden, the Netherlands,
March 3, 2012, starts at 2.00 p.m.
Ananda Priem and Züleyha Geelen will guide this gathering.
May 19 and June 9 2012, 2.00 p.m., we shall practice again at the
Universel ‘Murad Hassil’, Katwijk, the Netherlands.

The Ether Element
Ether produces sound and is energy.
The Ether Element controls all movements.
Ether is unlimited life and the Element gives life.

All Elements adapt to Ether; everything that exists disappears in Ether.
The Ether Element pulls together and gives space at the same time.
Being misty, hidden and incomprehensible, the Element Ether is dominant.
The Element Ether represents the sense of vision.
The Element Ether returns to the ethereal spheres.

The impressions, the thoughts, the feelings, the virtues and the qualities always proceed as far as they are able to reach out and they stay where they are meant to live.
The soul rests in her own being and blends in the ocean of consciousness, in this place none of her earlier properties remain.

To tune to Ether provides full insight and healing power.
The Element Ether adapts to sorrow and loneliness.
The Element Ether brings inspiration, harmony and peace.
Ether is all in everyone and in all is Ether.

Dear Fellow Pilgrim, in this New Year I wish you the inspiration, the harmony and the peace of the Element Ether.
All is in you, in you is all!

Until the next message,
Sitara

The afternoon of the Five Elements, March 3rd 2012, in the ‘Ashrama’,
Meentweg 9, 1411 GR Naarden, starts at 2.00 p.m. and will be guided by Ananda Priem and Züleyha Geelen.
During this afternoon we shall discover in a creative manner to which extend the Elements are present in ourselves. Are the Elements Earth, Water, Fire and Air in you in an active way or are they rather dormant? Which of the Elements needs your attention and how can you do that? Are you interested? Come to the Ashrama March 3rd.

May 19 and June 9 2012, 2.00 p.m., we will practise again in the Universel ‘Murad Hassil’ in Katwijk.
The performance of the ‘mystic perception’ of the Element Ritual during the Summerschool will be July 14, 2012, 7.30 p.m. in the Universel ‘Murad Hassil’ Katwijk.

Murshid Hidayat sent us an explanation ‘from the point of view of audible and visible vibrations’ of the five Elements. Here are some of his words.

‘The dull sound of the vibrations of the Earth element, which cause the surface to rumble and resonate, and whose characteristic is solidity, also manifest in various shades ranging from brown to golden yellow. These hollow sounds have the quality of motivating the need to communicate.

The sound of the vibrations of the Water element varies in accordance with circumstances, as the water flows onwards, overcoming all obstacles with a clarifying effect. The Water element reveals itself in a variety of green shades, related to the environment and to substances entering into the element. The characteristic of the Water element is fluidity.

The highly-strung vibrations of the Fire element, which have the characteristic of brilliancy, are seen in shades of red. These specific vibrations awaken and encourage physical and psychological impulses.

The vibrations of the Air element, which reach beyond the concept of audible sound and visible color, could nevertheless be pictured in various shades of blue. These vibrations, with the characteristic of expansiveness, are most appropriate sources of inspiration.

The everlasting sound and the ever-present brilliant light of the Ether element, which is the life-giver of all other elements, are imperceptible to human senses but might be awakened in one’s consciousness as brilliancy, as all-pervading sound and as unlimited expansion.’

I hope to see you in the ‘Ashrama’ March 3rd.

Yours,
Sitara

Mijdrecht, March 1, 2012.

Dear Fellow Pilgrim on the Sufi path,

The afternoon of the Five Elements, March 3rd 2012, in the ‘Ashrama’,
Meentweg 9, 1411 GR Naarden, starts at 2.00 p.m. and will be guided by Ananda Priem and Züleyha Geelen.

Are the Elements Earth, Water, Fire and Air in you in an active way or are they rather dormant? Which of the Elements needs your attention and how can you do that? Let this inspire you and come to the Ashrama March 3rd.

In the booklet ‘Metaphysics’ Hazrat Inayat Khan says:
‘The heart is as a globe covering the light of the soul, and its different emotions are different colours of this globe. Every emotion is produced by a certain element. While experiencing life through the heart, the soul at that moment thinks: I am sad, or glad, or afraid, or humorous. In fact it is its momentary experience. When the influence of a particular element is changed, the emotion has expired and the soul is as pure as it was before. Nothing touches it. It is pure by nature and it always remains pure. If ten people in turn look in a mirror, the mirror shows everyone his face reflected in it and it is clear enough to take every other reflection. In the end the mirror is as clear as before; no face that has ever been reflected in it has left an impression on it. There are nine different emotions which the soul experiences through the heart, and these are influenced by corresponding elements, thus:

Emotions - Elements
Humour - Air
Joy Ether
Sorrow - Earth
Fear - Ether and Air
Pity - Water
Courage - Fire and Air
Indifference - Ether, Fire and Earth
Passion - Fire
Anger - Fire and Air.

The Sufi learns wisdom of life from every experience. In the Element Ritual we experience the influence of the five Elements and we devote all our experiences to our Creator.
